I honestly don’t know how HONOR Philippines does it. They are just not gonna stop! Even after bringing the smash hit HONOR 90 5G, they are bringing three new phones and a new tablet on September 26!! One of those devices is the little brother of the smash hit, the HONOR 90 Lite 5G! What does this phone have to offer? Here’s my unboxing and first impressions of this new phone.
Disclaimer: HONOR Philippines sent me the HONOR 90 Lite 5G in Midnight Black. It arrived on September 18, 2023. This is basically my first 24 hours with the phone as of writing this. It should be fun!
Unboxing Experience
As you can see in the photo above, these are what you can expect when you open the box. That included small charger actually surprised me! Although the 90 Lite only has 22.5W HONOR SuperCharge support, it’s still nice to see phone makers include chargers even at the midrange.
This Midnight Black is Really Sleek!
As I mentioned earlier, these are my first 24 hours with this phone. I am liking the feel of the phone despite its flat sides. The 90 Lite is really thin though at 7.48mm, so it’s still nice to hold in the hand. It’s also a good thing that I got the Midnight Black color. This phone does have a matte back, but this color just makes fingerprints non-existent!
I love how clean the display is on the HONOR 90 Lite 5G. It has a 6.7-inch LTPS LCD display with a 2388 x 1080 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. That clean look is solely because of its really slim bezels. While its chin isn’t as slim as the rest of the bezels, it’s not the thickest one I’ve seen. MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 feels smooth thanks to this display.
Let’s Talk About Its Camera!
The HONOR 90 Lite rocks three rear cameras: a 100MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide + depth camera, and a 2MP macro camera. While I can’t really comment on what I think of the cameras until the full review, I can share some sample photos I took. Enjoy!
