After having its global launch back in April, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) launched the latest version of its gaming phone in the Philippines! It now sports a two-tone design and takes advantage of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with its GameCool 7 thermal system and special ROG tuning. Standout Features
This phone brings the best out of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor! Pairing it with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Although Wi-Fi 6E hasn’t spread into the mainstream yet, this ROG Phone is ready for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be)! This is thanks to having the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800! This supports ultrafast 320 MHz channels and Multi-Link operation which contributes to lower latency.
To keep up with all that performance, this phone keeps the same 165 Hz AMOLED display with a 720 Hz touch sampling rate and a ΔE < 1 of color accuracy. It also helps that ASUS ROG made this display brighter with up to 1500 nits of peak brightness.
In order to manage all that power and performance, the ROG Phone 7 Series uses the GameCool 7 thermal system to cool that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Cooling is done in a three-pronged approach. There’s a Boron Nitride (BN) thermal compound on one side of the CPU to reduce throttling. If that’s not enough, there’s the bigger rapid-cycle vapor chamber and graphite sheets on the other side of the CPU. For hardcore gamers out there, you can get the AeroActive Cooler 7. With the fan positioned right over the CPU, it kicks into play for those long gaming sessions with AI-powered active cooling. It features a Peltier element for extra cooling performance.
Another neat thing with the AeroActive Cooler 7 is its five-magnet, super-linear subwoofer which aids the ROG Phone 7’s twin front-firing speakers. While the speakers on this phone alone deliver 50% more effective volume than its predecessor, having the AeroActive Cooler 7 enhances bass volume by 77%. You still get the standard ROG Phone goodies like AirTriggers and Armoury Crate.
The Ultimate in Mobile Gaming Prowess

It features the ROG Vision, a unique matrix color display on the rear of the phone that exemplifies the daring innovation behind the ROG brand. Cooling also takes another leap with its AeroActive Portal. This air inlet activates automatically when the AeroActive Cooler is attached, directing a constant flow of cool air from the cooler onto the cooling fins of the vapor chamber. This allows for the phone’s thermal efficiency to increase by up to 20%!

The ROG Phone 7 comes in two colors: Phantom Black and Storm White. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant retails for P50,995, while the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant retails for P54,995. Meanwhile, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate comes in the Storm White color with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. It retails for P69,995 and comes with the AeroActive Cooler 7.
