realme just sent fans their Hogwarts acceptance letter. The brand officially launches the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition in the Philippines. Specifically, this limited-edition smartphone brings the Wizarding World into its design, interface, and packaging. Notably, it features a Hogwarts crest that changes color. It comes in Magic Brown and costs P39,999.
A Color-Changing Hogwarts Crest in Magic Brown
First and foremost, the back panel uses Enchanted Texture Leather. It carries a three-dimensional diamond pattern inspired by the wizard chessboard. At its center sits the Hogwarts Four-House Crest. Specifically, the crest reveals the signature colors of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff in direct sunlight or UV light. realme’s Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing Tech makes this effect possible.
Furthermore, a Hedwig-inspired camera deco in gold frames the lenses. The same gold runs along the edges of the phone. Additionally, realme laser-engraves the words “Welcome to Hogwarts” along the side.
Hogwarts Follows Onto the Screen
Beyond the exterior, the phone carries the Harry Potter theme into its interface. Specifically, exclusive wallpapers show Hogwarts Castle in two settings. Golden Dawn suits the daytime, and Mystic Dusk suits the night. Moreover, the boot-up and fingerprint animations take inspiration from Hogwarts acceptance letters.
Users also get 30+ redesigned app icons. Additionally, photos taken with the phone can feature watermarks inspired by the four Hogwarts houses. Under the Hogwarts styling, the phone also features a 200MP Portrait Master camera and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max processor.
Inside the Hogwarts-Inspired Trunk
The limited-edition gift box is a Harry Potter-inspired trunk. It carries the Hogwarts crest and the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition name on its lid. Notably, the surprise realme kept under wraps during the teaser sits inside. Fans will find:
- A Hogwarts acceptance letter addressed to Mr. Potter
- Harry Potter character postcards featuring Harry, Ron, and Hermione
- Bookmarks for the four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw
