Do What You Can’t With The Galaxy Note 8!

Remember the Galaxy Note 7? No? I don’t really blame you.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, some Galaxy Note 7s exploded or caught on fire! Samsung tried to control the situation from going out of control. Sadly, they pulled the Note 7 after TWO recalls. It became a PR DISASTER for Samsung and struggled to get back on their feet.

With the Galaxy S8, they showed us that they can still make safe phones. (Alas, it’s at the expense of battery size.) After proving that, Samsung is BACK with another Note phone: the Galaxy Note 8.

If there’s one thing that I adore about the Note 8, it’s the Infinity Display. It has the same 6.3-inch 2960×1440 resolution display with the Galaxy S8+. Despite it feeling like an S8+, the Galaxy Note 8 stands out with its marquee feature: the S Pen.

The S Pen defines the Galaxy Note line. It went against the notion of not having a stylus for the phone. As the Note line progresses, so did the capabilities of the S Pen. (Save for the weird reverse S Pen problem.) With the Note 8, the S Pen gains more capabilities that help you Do Bigger Things!

You can draw emojis, create custom written messages, and make GIFs using the S Pen! You then send it to ANY messaging service you use! This makes the S Pen more appealing than iMessage on iPhones. You can also use the Screen Memo feature where you can write notes with the screen off up to 100 PAGES! (That feature legitimately impressed me.)

Galaxy Note 8 Spec Sheet

Being the flagship of Samsung’s phone lineup, the Galaxy Note 8 contains the usual high-end specs we expect from it. Here are the specs:

  • Processor differs by region:
    • Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (US)

  • 6GB RAM
  • 64GB internal storage

Based on this list, the Note 8 surely fulfills its specs expectations!

Galaxy Note 8 in the Philippines

According to GadgetMatch, they have reason to believe that the Galaxy Note 8 will cost P49,990. It will launch on September 29th. Although this is not confirmed, it is more likely to be true. With Globe and Smart teasing its arrival for their respective postpaid plans, it couldn’t be far off.
