After making a splash with their new phones in the Number Series, it’s now time for realme’s C Series to shine! realme is set to launch the next generation of its C Series: the realme C55. The realme C55 launch will happen on April 18 via a livestream on realme’s official Facebook and TikTok pages.
realme aims to disrupt the entry-level smartphone segment once again. With unique designs and a big upgrade to the fundamentals, the realme C55 aims to be The Stylish Champion of its segment. It is also the first globally mass-produced Android smartphone to feature the Mini Capsule.
Standout Features of the realme C55
It’s amazing that realme is bringing a very familiar but new feature to the Android space in the Mini Capsule. This feature wraps around the punch hole where the front camera is and expands to show important information. Currently, you can see Charging and Battery Status, Data Cap Usage as well as Step Tracking shown in that Mini Capsule.
Of course, the C Series is all about nailing the fundamentals. I think that the realme C55 has one of the more significant upgrades in the history of this lineup. We now have a phone that’s 7.89mm thin and carries a squared-off, more boxier design. It boasts the largest display in a C Series phone at 6.7 inches with an FHD+ resolution. This display is also the first in the C Series to have a 90Hz refresh rate. Another cool upgrade is that 64MP main camera coupled with realme’s camera software that takes some features from its Number Series and GT Series phones.
The realme C55 comes in three colors: Sunshower, Rainy Night, and Rainforest. It’ll also come in two variants: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. If you run out of space, you can also expand your storage with up to a 1TB microSD card.
