If there’s one series of phones that really captured its fanbase, it’s the Redmi Note series of smartphones. As they continue to challenge what’s possible in the mid-range in 2022, Xiaomi RISES TO THE CHALLENGE! They are doing just that with the new Redmi Note 11 Series!
Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G | Redmi Note 11 Pro
The Redmi Note 11 Pro exceeds what you expect in a mid-range phone. For the first time, we’re getting two versions: the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 11 Pro. Regardless of which one you’re getting, you’re sure to get that fresh design with flat frames and excellent specs.
It has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sample rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. You also get triple rear cameras: a 108MP Samsung HM2 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Both phones will also get a big 5000 mAh battery with 67W Turbo Charging technology. They will also get dual stereo speakers, a side fingerprint sensor, and up to 1TB microSD card support. The venerable 3.5mm headphone jack sticks around, and there’s even IP53 splash resistance!
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G uses a Snapdragon 695 processor while the regular Note 11 Pro gets a MediaTek Helio G96 processor. Both phones will be available in Graphite Gray and Polar White. The 5G model gets that stunning Atlantic Blue while the regular one has a Star Blue color.
Both phones come in three configurations: 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB. No word on local pricing just yet. Expect just the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G to be available in the Philippines on February 11, 2022.
Redmi Note 11S | Redmi Note 11
You’d think that only the Pro models get a visual refresh, but you’d be wrong! Even the base Redmi Note 11 gets the same flat frames as the Pro models (so does the 11S). Both the Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11 get a big 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. These displays have a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. They also get the same big 5000 mAh battery found in the Pro models. However, they only get 33W fast charging.
Both the Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11 come in Graphite Gray and Twilight Blue. The third color for the Redmi Note 11S is Pearl White, while the Redmi Note 11’s is Star Blue.
The Redmi Note 11S comes in these configurations: 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB. As the most affordable of the Redmi Note 11 Series, the Redmi Note 11 will come in three other configurations. They are 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 6GB+128GB.
Both these phones also have no local pricing yet. Alongside the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, the Redmi Note 11S and Note 11 will also be available in the Philippines on February 11, 2022.
What do you think of these new Redmi Note smartphones? I feel like the Redmi Note 11S basically gave the biggest value out of all these phones. However, I would personally look at the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G since it really gives you a lot more. Yes, that includes having 5G since we’re pretty better off in terms of that compared to India.
