Hello guys! I’ve always wanted to do more travel stuff in a blog. Although this won’t be my main focus (that goes to technology), I plan to do these when I get the chance to deviate from my normal routine. When the new year started, my family decided that we’d go to one of our favorite patches of paradise in Cebu: Plantation Bay!
Plantation Bay may seem like a place full of beachfronts but that’s what gives it its unique appeal. The center of the whole place is their saltwater lagoon. The mix of a controlled pool-like environment and a beach-like feel makes it a perfect place to swim even though you have asthma, flu, or just a cold. The place looks like an isolated natural habitat that just happens to have comfortable rooms available. Almost everywhere you look, there’s a potential picture for scenery. They could even qualify as stock scenery photos! Hehe.
There are a lot of activities you can besides swimming. There’s a game room where you can play board games, pool, darts, and even use the KInect and Wii! There’s also tennis, archery, biking, and even use the gym for those who feel the need for extra time working out. At least whenever you feel tired after doing all that you can, you have a view to look at and you can relax.
After taking a short break, you can dine at one of the many restaurants found inside the hotel. I suggest trying the Kilimanjaro Kafé where breakfast and lunch buffets are available or the Savannah Grill where their Powerhouse Burger is to die for! Each night in Plantation Bay has a specific themed dinner buffet. Last year, we experienced the American theme. The dancers were amazing!
I love it when we make these trips like this. This makes us realize that keeping in touch with family really matters. This place is perfect for family outings or couples who want to experience something different. If you want to experience a patch of paradise, then this is a place you can go to.
