Smartphones have become necessities in the daily lives of Filipinos. From keeping in touch with friends and family to watching that latest episode of your favorite K-Drama, there’s a phone for everyone. In spite of the heavy competition, realme remains a strong presence in the Philippines smartphone market being the top 2 smartphone brand in the country.
According to the recent 2024 Philippine Smartphone Market report from the International Data Corporation (IDC), realme held a substantial 13.3% market share.
How realme Maintains its Top 2 Smartphone Brand Status

The brand says that the strong performance of its C Series is a key factor for its success. As a brand that started out in the country in late 2018 with the realme C1, the C Series continues to stand out for its superior design, performance, and experience.

Another contributing factor to realme’s success last year is realme’s new Note Series. This series brought a reliable, feature-rich device to an even more accessible price point. I personally saw this firsthand in early 2024 when the realme Note 50 was a sought-after device in offline stores due to what it had to offer for its price.
Since 2021, realme has consistently been reported by IDC as one of the top two smartphone brands in the Philippines by market share. This notable achievement underscores realme’s solid foothold, reflecting its continued growth, consumer appeal, and competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market.
“We are truly thankful for the unwavering support of our fans and community, which has been instrumental in achieving this milestone. Here at realme, we stay committed to unveiling smartphones that integrate superior quality and the latest advancements in technology.”
