10 Smartphones You Can Get with Globe GPlan!

Jullian Robin Sibi 0

Let’s face it: not everyone can afford to shell out a lot of money for just a phone. Most phones that end up getting sold are either entry-level or midrange. In fact, the only way that I get an iPhone without emptying my bank account is through a postpaid plan. While searching for an iPhone with no cashout through Globe GPlan, I found some phones that really surprised me! I didn’t expect them to be available with a postpaid plan.

With that in mind, here are 10 phones you can actually get via Globe GPlan!

Disclaimer: I based this list off of the list of phones you can get from the Globe Online Store here as of December 18, 2022. This is subject to change and some of the phones may be out of stock when I post this. It’s not sponsored by Globe either. Some of the phones on here really surprised me and inspired me to post about this very topic.

OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 1499
Cashout: P18,000
Freebies: OPPO Enco Air2 (worth P3,499), Universal adapter

This was a total surprise as I didn’t expect OPPO Philippines to even release this phone in the country. Lo and behold, we got the official news this week that the Reno8 Pro will be available via Globe GPlan 1499. Standout features of this phone include the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX processor, 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, and the same MariSilicon X Imaging NPU found in the OPPO Find X5 Pro.

ASUS ROG Phone 6

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 2499
Cashout: P20,400
Freebies: N/A
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-phones/asus-rog-phone-6

Of all the phones on this list, the ROG Phone 6 is the one that REALLY surprised me. I couldn’t recall a high-end ASUS phone offered by Globe through its postpaid plan, so this feels really significant. I’m not sure if this is just a limited-time offer though. While it’s still available, I think people looking for a high-end gaming phone should consider going this route. Standout features of this phone include the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 6000 mAh battery.

HONOR X6

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 999
Cashout: FREE
Freebies: N/A
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-phones/honor-x6

Yet another surprising entry on this list is from the returning smartphone brand HONOR. Launched alongside the HONOR 70 and HONOR Pad 8, this X series smartphone rocks a MediaTek Helio G25 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, a 5000 mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera. If you’re one of those who loved HUAWEI back in the day can basically lean on the new HONOR since it still carries the Google apps that you use most.

realme GT NEO 3

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 2499
Cashout: FREE
Freebies: N/A
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-phones/realme-gt-neo-3-5G

This phone being on here didn’t surprise me too much since I knew this was coming. As the most premium realme smartphone officially available in the Philippines, I understand why the brand would offer this through Globe GPlan. The standout features of this phone are eerily similar to the Reno8 Pro: a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, a 5000 mAh battery with 80W SuperDart fast charging, and a 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display.

Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 1799
Cashout: P4,800
Freebies: N/A
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-phones/xioami-12-lite-5g

I knew that Xiaomi started having some of its smartphones available via postpaid plans. Never did I expect the company to offer the Xiaomi 12 Lite so soon after it came out. Standout features of this phone include a Snapdragon 778G processor, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, 67W fast charging, and a 108MP main camera.

HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 1999
Cashout: P21,600
Freebies: N/A
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-phones/huawei-mate-50-pro

HUAWEI claims that the Mate 50 Pro has the best cameras on a smartphone. Based on the reviews I’ve seen, that has been the case so far. Despite not having Google services and 5G, this phone still rocks a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, durable Kunlun glass, an Ultra Aperture Camera system powered by XMAGE, a 6.74-inch 120Hz OLED display, and a 4700 mAh battery with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 1799
Cashout: P24,000
Freebies: Samsung Keyboard + 30% off voucher in Samsung eStore
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-phones/samsung-galaxy-a52s-5g

This year’s Galaxy A series of smartphones feel like a letdown to me. Only the Galaxy A73 5G gets a really good processor in the Snapdragon 778G but you can find that here in the Galaxy A52s 5G! It also helps that it has a 64MP main camera with OIS, a 32MP front camera with 4K video recording, and a 6.5-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display. This phone also gets the latest One UI 5 update based on Android 13!

HUAWEI nova Y61

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 799
Cashout: P500
Freebies: HUAWEI Thermos White
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-phones/huawei-nova-y61

On the surface, HUAWEI’s latest affordable nova smartphone doesn’t have much. It still doesn’t have Google services out of the box, but it’s a decent phone for a first-time buyer. Most apps people use can either be found in HUAWEI’s AppGallery or through other third-party APK downloaders via Petal Search.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 1499
Cashout: P33,600 (128GB), P38,400 (256GB)
Freebies: Galaxy Tab A8 + 50% off voucher in Samsung eStore
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-phones/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-4-5g

The last two entries on this list are from probably the most common brands that Globe tends to focus on with its postpaid offerings.

Obviously, I would have to give my Samsung pick to the most accessible foldable phone in the market today. The Z Flip4 doesn’t have too many new features compared to its predecessor, but it refines what’s already good with the Flip form factor. It also helps that it has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, a bigger 3700 mAh battery, and a faster 120Hz main display.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro

Globe Recommended Plan: GPlan 1999 / GPlan Plus 999
Cashout: P39,600 (128GB, GPlan) / P65,070 (128GB, GPlan Plus)
Freebies: N/A
Globe Online Store Link: https://new.globe.com.ph/mobile-plans/iphone-14-pro

It’s probably very obvious that my last pick would be an iPhone. I chose the iPhone 14 Pro because of its surprising balance of size and form factor while offering the best that Apple offers in a phone. Standout features include the Dynamic Island, Apple A16 Bionic chip, a new 48MP main camera, and a brighter Super Retina XDR display of up to 2000 nits under bright sunlight.

That’s it for my list of 10 smartphones you can get through Globe GPlan! For more information on Globe’s latest postpaid offerings, just head over to Globe’s website.
