OPPO Reno 3 Series Launched in the Philippines

OPPO recently made a big splash in the Philippines with the OPPO Find X2 Pro! Although that had a lot of things going for it, it’s mostly out of reach for a lot of Filipinos at P65,990. It’s a good thing OPPO has something more affordable for us: the OPPO Reno 3 Series!

What’s New With the OPPO Reno 3 Series?

You won’t be seeing that periscope zoom camera or a 120Hz refresh rate like in OPPO’s flagships. For the most part, you’ll be getting great performance and camera capabilities at their price points. Both the Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro have the MediaTek Helio P95 processor. It has MediaTek’s most powerful AI processing engine for 4G smartphones that can be used for better photography experiences. The chip also has MediaTek HyperEngine gaming technology for a better gaming experience.

You also get quad rear cameras on the Reno 3 Series. On the Reno 3, you get a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP telephoto sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP mono sensor. For the Reno 3 Pro, you get a better 64MP main sensor, a 13MP telephoto sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP mono sensor.

Keeping to its legacy of being the selfie expert, OPPO still gives a lot of importance to its front cameras. You get a single 44MP front camera on the OPPO Reno 3 and a dual 44MP+2MP front camera on the Reno 3 Pro. The Reno 3 Pro uses a punch-hole design for its cameras so you get that all-screen feel.

Speaking of the screen, the Reno 3 Series gets the OPPO Screen Image Engine (OSIE). This is the industry’s first visual effect optimization software for short video images that can enhance your TikTok and Instagram experience! Coupled with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio, your multimedia experience will surely be great on the new Reno 3 phones.

Both phones run smoothly on OPPO’s ColorOS 7 on top of Android 10. I feel that this is the company’s cleanest version of its Android skin yet. ColorOS 7 brings improvements to gaming performance thanks to Hyper Boost.
