If you noticed a month back, I shared my hands-on impressions on the iPhone 11 Pro. I wanted to give my thoughts right away on another “Pro” Apple product but the opportunity presented itself for me to own them! So I waited until I got them and here I am. These are my AirPods Pro first impressions!
Where Did I Get Mine?
I had to hold my AirPods Pro first impressions was the fact that I could get my own! I initially reserved mine through Power Mac Center, but I got it from their lifestyle brand The Loop. The wait was definitely worth it for me.
The Case!
What really shocked me was the actual size of the case! I always knew it would be wider but almost have a similar footprint with the AirPods. Just put the Pro’s case in portrait and both really feel similar.
I didn’t even experience having AirPods with wireless charging since I got the 1st-gen ones. I’m glad I held off though, because I don’t really use that feature too much. Having the charging indicator on the AirPods Pro is really useful. I wish this is how AirPods look from the start.
Setup Experience
Like every AirPods before it, setting up the AirPods Pro is really easy! You just open the lid near your iPhone or iPad with the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. You then get a guide on how to use the new features of the AirPods Pro!
After that, you get the usual battery indicator popup for the AirPods Pro and its wireless charging case.
One thing I want to point out is that AirPods Pro now fits in more ears! This is thanks to the new design
My First Crack at Active Noise Cancellation!
I’ve always heard of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) but I never got to wanting it at all. I was fine with my first-gen AirPods in most cases. Whenever I’m indoors and using my laptop, I have a pair of Marshall Major II Bluetooth headphones with me.
I could never imagine my life without the AirPods Pro after trying out Active Noise Cancellation. For buds that size, the ANC is surprisingly good! It can drown out most noise that’s good for my taste. There are cases where it falls short, but I’ll leave that and more in the full review.
That’s it for my AirPods Pro first impressions! I didn’t wanna elaborate too much since I wanted to test its prowess in canceling out noise extensively. Sorry for this insane amount of delay on this post. I just wanted to take a break from all this for a while. Did you get one of these for Christmas? Were you looking for other options? Sound off in the comments below!
