After starting 2024 with the HOT 40 Series, Infinix launches the newest members of its NOTE Series of phones! The Infinix NOTE 40 Series aims to redefine fast charging with its All-Round FastCharge 2.0 technology. This series has four new phones: the NOTE 40, NOTE 40 Pro, NOTE 40 Pro 5G, and NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G. Infinix unveiled these groundbreaking products at the F1 Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, showcasing their fast charging prowess.
Standout Features of the Infinix NOTE 40 Series
The highlight feature of the NOTE 40 Series is the All-Round FastCharge 2.0 technology. Powering the tech is Infinix’s first self-developed chip, the Cheetah X1. Multiple functions that used to be in separate chips such as high-precision power detection, secure voltage detection, and versatile scene support are now in one chip! The Cheetah X1 chip ensures exceptional charging efficiency and diverse capabilities.
Up to 100W Fast Charging!
The highest-end NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G supports 100W Multi-Speed FastCharge, which reaches 50% in just 8 minutes when in Hyper Mode. Depending on your preferences, this phone also offers low-temp and smart modes. All NOTE 40 Series phones feature high-density batteries, which retain 80% of total capacity in 1,600 charge cycles.
For long gaming sessions, there’s Bypass Charging 2.0 that powers the main board of the phone directly to prevent overheating. You can also use the included 100W charger for your laptop thanks to USB PD 3.0 support.
A Better Wireless Charging Experience
Wireless charging also gets a boost with 20W Wireless MagCharge. Alongside the phones, Infinix has a set of accessories called MagKit for a better wireless charging experience. MagKit consists of the MagCase phone case, the MagPad wireless charging pad, and the MagPower magnetic power bank. You can even share power with other devices wirelessly at up to 10W thanks to reverse charging.
A More Urban Aesthetic
All Pro models in the NOTE 40 Series feature a 55° curved display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Meanwhile, only the NOTE 40 uses a flat display with an ultra-narrow bezel using the MDA (metal device antenna) design that hides the antenna into the frame.
All NOTE 40 series phones offer 120Hz AMOLED displays with a 1080p resolution and 1300 nits peak brightness. These displays carry the TÜV Rheinland certification for anti-blue light eye protection and has 2160Hz PWM dimming for better visual comfort.
Infinix also introduces a new Active Halo feature found on the phone’s camera module. It shows off pulses of light whenever you receive calls and notifications, playing games or music, or when the device is charging.
Other Standout Features
The Infinix NOTE 40 Series has a 108MP main camera with OIS and 3x Lossless Superzoom for taking less shaky and better quality zoomed-in photos. Users can leverage the Dual Video mode on these phones by taking video from both the 108MP main camera and the 32MP front camera.
For the 4G-enabled phones, Infinix uses the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor. Meanwhile, the 5G-enabled models use the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor. Both use the 6nm process for better energy efficiency and performance. These chips utilize the AI features highlighted in XOS 14 based on Android 14, which includes Folax, Ask AI, and AI wallpaper generator.
These phones feature up to 24GB extended RAM (12GB RAM + 12GB virtual RAM) for improved multitasking. There’s also a vacuum chamber cooling system that helps reduce temperature in the phone by up to 7° C. They also feature XBOOST Frame Rate Control that optimizes performance for popular games, and dual stereo speakers fine-tuned by JBL for a more immersive gaming experience.
The NOTE 40 Series will come with XOS 14 out of the box. Infinix says that the Pro models will have two years of OS upgrades and 36 months of security updates.
