OPPO Philippines has been busy in the past few months. In March, they launched the OPPO F11 Pro with its no-notch Panoramic Arc Screen and awesome low-light photo capabilities. A few weeks later, they released the OPPO F11 with the same rear cameras as its big brother at a lower price. It recently put out limited edition colors for both the F11 Pro and F11 to celebrate its 5th year in the Philippines! Now, its next salvo is coming in the form of the OPPO Reno!!
Why Make OPPO Reno?
If you’re wondering why this is happening in the first place, then I’m not surprised. The R17 Pro gave us a glimpse of what OPPO can do with its triple rear camera setup. On the other hand, Find X showed us how OPPO can create a truly high-end smartphone with an immersive Panoramic Arc Screen. Both are perfectly capable phones that showcase what OPPO can do in the premium smartphone space.
With the OPPO Reno, it plans to blend everything that they learned while making both those phones. The combination of all that learning with its new passion for creativity and style makes this very interesting!
Without further ado, here it is!
What’s With the Weird Popup Camera?
Great question! With the OPPO Reno, you get this weird shark fin type of popup camera in the front. In other phones, the popup camera is really small and could break easily. With the Reno, it’s a bigger popup camera and has free fall technology. That automatically moves the popup back in so it won’t break. OPPO says that you can use it up to 200,000 times! I have yet to see how this would last as you use the phone more.
10x Zoom on Display!
Remember that time when OPPO showed off their 10x zoom tech during MWC this year? Well, it finally has a working product in the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom! It has a 48MP main camera, an 8MP super wide angle camera, and a 13MP periscopic 10x zoom camera! With that, you can get closer and closer with the perfect shot you want!
What Else Does the OPPO Reno Have?
Besides its awesome cameras, the OPPO Reno has the high-end specs to back it up! Let’s also not forget this Panoramic Arc Screen that flanks the front of this phone. Read below for full specs on the OPPO Reno and the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom:
