Roku Powered StreamWatch: What Is It?

The Roku Powered StreamWatch is a streaming stick device created by Roku for Globe. It lets you watch online content you purchased through Globe or otherwise! Despite the small remote and device, it actually supports high definition (HD) video and offers 100+ FREE channels out of the box! Some services like Netflix or Disney need a paid subscription for access to them.

How Much Does It Cost?

Great question! For new and existing Globe at Home subscribers, they can get this device by adding P50/month on top of their current plan! Since this is a limited time offer, this is honestly a steal at that price point! On top of that, you get FREE 3 MONTHS of Netflix, Disney, HOOQ, and their newest partner, Fox+!

I Want to JUST BUY the Device! Is that possible?

According to Hungry Geeks, you can! Despite the limited time, you can get the device separately for just P999! Even better, you get the FREE 3 MONTHS of Netflix, Disney, HOOQ, and Fox+! You can purchase it from Globe’s online store or in a Globe store near you! (I have yet to confirm whether it is already available in stores outside Metro Manila already.)

I honestly think that the promotional pricing of the StreamWatch is (no pun intended) smart! Despite not specifying what else this device can do, I think this is a compelling device for Filipino homes who don’t watch a lot of local TV. This has the potential to change the way we watch TV in the Philippines.
