Google just announced a lot of new products within the Made by Google family! The new products include the Google Home Mini and Max, Pixel Buds, Pixel Book, and Google Clips! For info on the new products, you can check out Google’s blog right HERE. The most anticipated product that came out of the event was the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL!
The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL fixes some of the original Pixel’s problems and improves on what makes the original successful. Despite that, Google’s new phones add inconveniences in what would otherwise be a perfect smartphone.
If the look didn’t convince you to choose Google’s flagship, then here are 5 reasons to choose it over other phones:
Size Doesn’t Matter!
Despite whatever you thought of that header title, it really doesn’t matter with Google’s flagship phones! You can’t go wrong with either the smaller Pixel 2 or the bigger battery in the Pixel 2 XL! Even though the colour combos are different between both models, you’ll surely get feature parity.
Best Smartphone Camera. Again.
For a year, the original Google Pixel broke our expectations on what a smartphone camera can do. As smartphones move to dual cameras, the Pixel stuck with its single camera sensor.
Even as more smartphones followed the dual-camera trend, the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL still use a single camera. The difference though is that it has a bigger aperture to let more light in. Google’s camera app relies heavily on HDR thanks to their huge advantage in machine learning. All in all, the Google Pixel 2 claims to have the best smartphone camera (DxOMark agrees, but take them with a grain of salt). Again.
FINALLY! BoomSound has a Successor!
I thought we wouldn’t see this feature again. After HTC ditched BoomSound, their dual front-facing speaker, no other smartphone tried to carry its mantle.
The wait is over.
Google added dual front-facing speakers to BOTH the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL! This surprised me the most out of all the announced features! With this and the bright displays, Google has two phones that are GREAT for watching movies!
Google Pixel 2 is NOW Water Resistant!
One of the big flaws of the original Pixel phones was the lack of water resistance. Last year’s smartphones already have some form of water resistance (usually IP67 or IP68) which blocks it from being a solid recommendation. Both the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have IP67 water resistance so you can now bring these phones in the shower! Good job in catching up, Google!
Timely Android Updates!
Because Google owns Android, they can tailor the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL to take full advantage of their mobile OS! It even comes out with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box! On top of that, Google promises 3 years worth of security updates so you are assured to have better security than most Android phones.

I always like a phone that has a god camera.It seems Google pixle has that feature.Also for me it is always easy to use an android phone than iphone.In Google play,it is easy to download apps without signing in each time.With such features,I think this is a great phone for me… 🙂
