Hi guys! Sorry for the seemingly long hiatus from my last post. I just needed a breather before jumpstarting my blog for 2016. Since a lot can happen in 15 days, here’s what I’ve been doing so far:
MORE FAMILY TIME!
I was so thankful for the remaining time I had left for vacation because then I get to spend time with my family more often! I got to talk and laugh more with the first people that I love and cherish in my life. 🙂 I’m so glad I got to do this since outside of weekends, I rarely get to converse with my family. Maybe communicating with my family more should be one of my New Year’s resolutions. I shouldn’t just go to my room right away when I get home.
DATE NIGHTS WITH THE GIRLFRIEND!
I made a promise to myself this 2016 that I would do my best to spend as much time with this lovely lady as I can! Lo and behold, we did spend time together! Yay! Much of our date nights involve dinner since she goes on duty in the evening. I am fine with that. 😀 I’m so happy that I really get to be with her. In fact, we’re going together again this Sunday for Sinulog 2016. Hopefully we’ll be better off than last year. (No, I’m not gonna talk about last year. Haha.)
Anyway, I hope that this will be consistent throughout the year. She truly is special. I love her so much! <3 <3 <3
HANGING OUT WITH FRIENDS!
The first few days have been fun also in thanks to the people shown in the pictures! Whether it’s a despidida celebration or dinner after a good jog or just a simple breakfast outdoors, it’s better spent with friends you can laugh and cry with. 🙂 I hope to keep the real friends and stay away from fake ones this 2016. 😀 The effort of putting up with people you don’t like isn’t worth it at all. Speaking of a good jog…
FIRST 21K!
Despite the relative lack of training, I did it! I ran my first 21K! It really feels so fulfilling to do one of these. “Can I even do it?, ” I keep telling myself. After doing a 10K two years ago, I decided to try out doing a 21K by joining the Cebu Marathon. Since a friend told me that we should do a long run, we joined the 12K Christmas run. I finished that run with a time of 1 hour, 44 minutes.
After that run, I did some jogging during Christmas break and the week before the actual run. During the run, I was a bit worried that I couldn’t go through with it because I felt some pain. Good thing that was temporary as it wore off after a while. I finished the run with an official time of 3 hours, 13 minutes flat. It was satisfying for me since despite just walking more after the turning point, I still managed to make it. Hopefully I can beat my record in my next 21K. 😀
And that’s it. All in just 15 days besides the usual stuff. Here’s to more experiences and moments this 2016! Happy New Year everyone!
