We’re about 1 week away from the Philippine release of Apple’s true flagship for 2017: the iPhone X! On December 1st, Filipinos get to experience the bezel-less OLED display and Face ID. Both Globe and Smart released their cashout list for the iPhone X. Power Mac Center AND Beyond the Box also teased the arrival of Apple’s latest flagship!
Here are the iPhone X Philippines release details from the telcos and Apple resellers!
Power Mac Center

Now on to the telcos! As usual, Globe put out their cashout list first. Their recommended plan is ThePLAN 1799 + P38,400 cashout (P1,600/month for 24 months). Like the iPhone 8, this plan contains:
- Unlimited ALL-NET texts
- Unlimited calls to Globe/TM
- 11GB data (up to 8GB can be rollover data)
- FREE 1 month Gadget Care
- Netflix access for 6 months
- Disney app access for 6 months
- Spotify Premium access for 3 months
If you’re renewing your contract, you can get P2,400 off the cashout! You can check out the rest of the cashout table right HERE. There are multiple options in paying the cashout: one-time cash, straight credit card charge, or credit card installments! You can preorder the iPhone X through the Globe Online Shop if you’re getting a new or additional line!
Smart
I pretty much don’t need to explain Smart’s iPhone X deal since it’s just up there! In case you need to copy-paste it, their recommended plan is iPhone Plan 1499 + P40,800 cashout (P1,700/month for 24 months).
The iPhone Plan contains the following:
- 9GB data + 1 FREE APP monthly
- Unlimited texts to all networks
- 60 mins of calls to all networks
- FREE 1 month Gadget Shield

Which Option is Best for You?
Despite me giving you the iPhone X Philippines release details, are you still undecided on where to get your iPhone 8? Here are my thoughts on which option is best for you.
If you want get an unlocked iPhone X (an iPhone without Globe or Smart SIM-locking), get one from Power Mac Center. Their after-sales is the best that an Apple reseller in the Philippines has to offer. Their raffle is also super enticing!
If you want to pay the least with your iPhone X and postpaid plan, go with Smart’s recommended plan. Paying just P1,499 for 24 months + P40,800 cashout, you can’t go any lower than that with a postpaid plan. Check out the comparison table below.

Based on the table above, you actually save around P4,000 if you get Smart’s plans! Note that even with the discount for recontracting with Globe, Smart still has the cheaper deal. Of course, this will depend on which telco has better cell coverage in your area.
If you want more value out of your iPhone X purchase, go with Globe’s recommended plan. You get more data (11GB with Globe compared to 9GB with Smart) and FREE services (Netflix, Disney, and Spotify Premium).

If I had the resources, with my functional preference, I’d go for an iphone 8 than an X since the two are mostly the same.
In terms of the postpaid plans. I go with Globe. Iphone X is definitely a beast but still #TeamAndroid ? If only I have the money for iPhone X, I would get it.
