What is Wi-Fi 7?
Whenever we get a new version of Wi-Fi, it usually means an increase in the maximum speed it can give. Even if we consider it true, most people can’t even reach half of that maximum speed! Introducing the 1st TP-Link WiFi 7 Device: The Archer BE230
During the launch, TP-Link introduced the first Wi-Fi 7 router in the Philippines: the Archer BE230! It boasts substantial enhancements in performance and user experience. From supporting all the new Wi-Fi 7 features to its VPN Client with support for TP-Link VPN servers and most third-party VPN servers. (Those include SurfShark, NordVPN, Mullvad VPN, ProtonVPN, ExpressVPN, PrivateTunnel, OVPN.com, and PIA.) The BE230 has tripled its VPN performance, so you can have a more secure network while enjoying faster Wi-Fi.
Bringing TP-Link WiFi 7 To More Homes with PLDT Home
For years, TP-Link has partnered with the Philippines’ leading digital service provider PLDT Home to offer compelling connectivity solutions to Filipino families. To complement the launch of TP-Link WiFi 7 devices, the company also unveiled a new lineup of Tapo smart home products. These offerings include:

- 2K 5MP Tapo Smart Battery Video Doorbell (Tapo D230S1)
- 2K QHD Smart Floodlight Camera (Tapo C720)
- the Tapo T100 Smart Motion Sensor
New Tapo smart home products will be released in May 2024.
Pricing and Availability
The Archer BE230 isn’t the only Wi-Fi 7 product TP-Link announced at the event! There are other products including the DECO BE235 (a Wi-Fi 7 mesh solution) and the Archer TBE400UH (a USB 3.0 Wi-Fi 7 device).
