So we’re back at it again. I am a finalist for Best Cebu Technology Blog once again for Best Cebu Blogs Awards 2018 (BCBA 2018)!
What is BCBA?
The Best Cebu Blogs Awards (BCBA) is a yearly Awarding Ceremony of Cebu-based Bloggers. BCBA is the only and pioneering award giving body that recognizes the existence of blogs and bloggers in Cebu’s blogosphere. It acknowledges the existence and importance of Cebu Bloggers in the Visayas and in the Philippines. BCBA aims to recognize the finest blogs by Cebuanos and Cebu-based bloggers which are at par even with their foreign counterparts.
Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. Founder Mark M. Monta and some Blogger Volunteers help organize the Best Cebu Blogs Awards. Judges for the Best Cebu Blogs Awards By Niches are changing every year. Most of them came from Manila, Cagayan De Oro, Ilo-ilo, General Santos, Davao and of course, a home-based judge here in Cebu.
How Do I Feel About It?
It hasn’t been easy for me this year. I recently got to a point where blogging was a chore. I would lose focus and sometimes not even touch my laptop for weeks on end. It would feel like an unavoidable guilt for me.
As I found my mojo back, I recently started my podcast called The Creator Life! It gave me a big boost in motivation to continue blogging. I got to talk to different content creators about what they do and what they think about different topics. It helps me reflect on what I should do in my blog.
When I found out that I got nominated again, I felt happy yet not contented. I feel like there is much to be done in terms of my blogging. I want to keep up and do more creative ways.
I’m still afraid to do video, since it involves giving more of my time to being a creator. Being unique especially in the Tech YouTube community is getting increasingly difficult and it doesn’t pay much yet. I really hope I can do more in 2019.
