Sometimes a place isn’t special enough without the people. As much as I would love to bring in new people to our group, I would love if people already in the group support each other a lot! This is more true with coworking spaces. I am so happy that The Spot Coworking Space really leaned in with their community. It just so happens that their space is near a school: the University of Cebu – Banilad campus!

Their College of Business and Accountancy recently celebrated their CBA Days 2019 last February 20-22, 2019 at Ayala Center Cebu. The second day, February 21, was all about the Marketing students! They had a lot going on!
Being a content creator, marketing seems to be second nature to us by now. There are just some things we do unknowingly that are just part of what marketing students already know. Having a coworking space support students is something different that I don’t think just any other space can replicate.
“Everyone did a great job, they were prepared with their piece and had the presence of mind with the impromptu Salesmanship,” Kristine Antonio of The Spot said. It seemed that she was really happy being a guest judge of their activities like Impromptu Salesmanship, Bulletin Board Contest, Short Video Commercials, and Misleading Video Marketing. (That last one piques my interest a lot; I better ask how this went.) At any rate, it’s good to form a relationship between a coworking space and a school. This could benefit both of them long-term.
I wish The Spot Coworking Space all the best as they venture into more collaborations with schools in the future!
