Redmi Note 10 Unboxing and First Impressions

Jullian Robin Sibi 9

The prospect of reviewing the successor of the Redmi Note 9 is very appealing to me. Despite being disappointed, I look forward to what improvements are in the entry-level phone of the Redmi Note 10 series. Without further ado, here is my Redmi Note 10 unboxing and first impressions!

Redmi Note 10 Unboxing - The Box

Side Note: A Clean Box

My tangent for this first impressions post is how clean this box is. It flat out shows you what to expect with the phone (except the color, but that’s fine here). It’s just funny how even the box says something about the phone you buy. On with the unboxing!

What’s in the Box?

(from left to right) SIM ejector tool, manual and warranty, free jelly case, 33W fast charge adapter and USB-A to USB-C cable, Redmi Note 10

I always like the fact that Xiaomi and other brands include cases on their budget phones (heck, even on flagships!). There’s something about taking care of the customer in that sense. I also don’t understand why there was even a need to remove chargers from the box at all. Fast charging solutions are more practical than wireless, in my opinion. I just hope that at least you get a good fast charger in the box well before you remove it.

Can’t Believe I’m Getting AMOLED Here!

When I first turned this phone on, I realized just how much I love AMOLED (and OLED) displays! I used to dunk on them before due to all the side effects it had like screen burn-in (and some Apple bias too haha). AMOLED just offers so much deeper blacks and really effective in increasing battery life. I’m glad that Xiaomi brought this tech to a sub-P10,000 phone.

A More Premium Design.

One thing I appreciate about the designs on Xiaomi’s phones is how premium they look. Even if this is a sub-P10,000 phone, I can still feel the care for how it feels in the hand. This phone comes in three colors: Pebble White, Lake Green, and Onyx Gray. (The third one is shown in the photo.) The back’s really glossy, so I expect the fingerprints to show up so quickly.

How are the Cameras?

My experience with the cameras of the Redmi Note 10 is good so far. As much as I also like the Redmi Note 9’s cameras, the camera app experience was marred by its performance. On paper, it sounds like you got the same cameras as its predecessor. The rear cameras consist of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera, and two 2MP cameras for macro and depth sensing.

In practice, I haven’t really experienced any problems so far. I took a lot of sample shots within a week of me using the Redmi Note 10. Here are some of them!

That’s it for my unboxing and first impressions of the Redmi Note 10! I’ve been taking my time with the phone, so I didn’t go into much detail about the battery and performance. Stay tuned for the full review!

  1. I think the phone’s screen, battery life and performance is excellent for the price. I heard that offerings at this price range from top competitors like Samsung or Nokia do not provide the hardware as well as features this phone gives.

  2. The shape and sleek design of this phone is very sophisticated. I thought the lake green color is wonderful!

The sleek design and shape of this phone makes it more unique! I love the color and I think this phone has a better batter life rather than the updated ones!

  4. I thought it would be lake-green, I’m a bit disappointed. But hey at least it’s AMOLED, brighter, and more vibrant colors than LCD, and yes, deep rich black levels.

  5. nice one and i’m looking forward to use my new Note 10 although I’m probably going to give it up unless i’ll go into tiktok.

On paper i’m quite happy but i think i’m keeping my samsung and realme for my daily needs.

  6. The camera of the phone took amazing photos. The color and shape of the phone are very nice as well. This is another wonderful phone from Redmi!

  7. Still no headset included? hehehe. Camera, battery life, and phone screen display, for me, are the important aspects of a phone. Agree with you on the sleekness of the phone design. Thanks for the review, Jullian. Considering this model for my next phone.

    • Most budget phones don’t carry earphones anymore. (There are a lot of third-party options out there that are very affordable.)

This isn’t a review yet! People should know that unless I put the word “review” on the post, it’s not a review.
