The Capdase QM Cruiser Has Magnets?!?

You might be thinking: what do magnets have anything to do with a Capdase power bank? It surprised me when I first got the device. It’s called the Capdase QM Cruiser Fast Wireless Magnetic Powerbank.

First Impressions

I didn’t really know what to expect when I first got this. It just looked like a normal power bank with wireless charging. Little did I know that it would have magnets on both sides.

The reason why there are four plus contact points on the wireless charging pad is for the magnets! There are some of them on the actual power bank itself. A set of magnets with adhesive are also included in the box that you stick to your phone. (More on that later.)

The Capdase QM Cruiser Has USB-C.

A rare thing when it comes to power banks is just having a USB-C port. You don’t even need to worry about the weird chaos surrounding that port since this one supports USB PD (Power Delivery). In case this is your first gadget with USB-C, there is a USB-C to USB-A cable inside the box to charge the power bank with your adapter.

Do The Magnets Work?

If the above photo is any indication, it proves that the magnets do work! One downside for me is having to stick the magnets on the phone. I worry that it would affect the phone in the long term. At least when you use this power bank, you don’t have to worry about holding both it and your phone.

Had to attach the magnet this way.

Fast Wired Charging with USB-C!

If your phone does not support wireless charging but has a USB-C port, this power bank can still work for you! It supports up to 18W of fast charging via the USB-C port on the power bank. Even the newest iPhones (iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro) support said fast charging! (You need a separate Lightning to USB-C cable though.)

All in all, I’m really satisfied with the Capdase QM Cruiser power bank. I think having magnets help solve the problem of having to worry about the phone falling. You can get one in your nearest Capdase store or reseller for just P2,980!
